MPD

How MPD Built a Police Surveillance Operation Around Renee Good’s Memorial — and What It Cost the Community

MPD deployed 101 personnel to a memorial where its logs recorded seven people keeping vigil. Records show how police built a surveillance file around mourners as urgent calls waited and reports of threats and assaults by federal agents received “no response.”

Policing

ICE Said It Would Handle Shootings by Its Own Agents. MPD Held the Perimeters and Helped ICE Leave the Scene.

20 minutes after ICE shot and killed Renee Good, they told MPD to "hold the perimeter" of their crime scene. ICE told MPD it would "handle" the ICE agent's shooting and gather the evidence. MPD held the perimeter and let ICE and critical evidence leave. And they did it again. And again.

How Frey and O'Hara Failed Minneapolis During Operation Metro Surge

Federal enforcement brought fear and violence into Minneapolis. Records show MPD moving deeper into that machinery under Frey’s command while urgent calls waited, command rules blurred, and federal systems further obscured MPD’s duty, decisions, and accountability to the public.

What Is This Thing?

For now, this site is a container for deep-dive analysis of public records I requested from the Minneapolis Police Department from November 2025 through February 4, 2026, which include emails, incident reports, 911 transcripts, internal communications, and federal-local law-enforcement agreements.
